MSME, Nagpur- Reshaping the entrepreneurial acumen in service sector
It was very heartening to read
the news in The Hitavada’s City Line, dated 22-09-2015, that Cable Operator
Services are now acknowledged and thereby can be registered under the MSME DevelopmentAct 2006 as Service Enterprises. The Director of MSME-DI, Nagpur Mr. P. M Parelwar has welcomed the move and granted acceptance to it. This would enable
the cable operator to take package benefits granted to the service providers in
the predefined sectors.
This move reminds me of the
decade old acceptance of Retail Services after so much of nation-wide
agitations and chaos, and we can see its magic all around. Retail organizations
have witnessed mushroom like growth in all stretches in Indian Subcontinent.
The acceptance of any such
business services to be registered and acknowledged by govt. agencies provides
a boost to the segment and one can guarantee it manifolds growth in the time to
come. Various benefits such as bank’s easy approval for funds, domain specific
taxation structure, subsidiaries etc. are granted as benefits for being part of
any such approved sector.
I would like to quote Mr. P. M.
Parlewar, “MSME is working for the development and promotion of SMEs in the
region”. And the Nagpurians can very well witness this.
